2008 Magic Half Million Dollar Song of the Day Official Rules
A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of KMJK/Magic 107.3, Cumulus Media Partners., 5800 Foxridge Drive, 6th Floor - Mission, KS 66202, during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.
1. No purchase is necessary. Purchase does not increase the odds of winning.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age in order to participate and win.
3. All contests are open to the general public nationwide, except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of KMJK, other participating Cumulus stations, Cumulus Media Partners., participating sponsors, their immediate families, household members and all other radio industry employees. To be eligible listeners must have a working telephone number; both, when qualifying, and at the time they are selected as a prizewinner. Individuals with disconnected phone numbers that have been changed without a forwarding phone number will be bypassed during the random winner selection process.
4. An individual may win an on-going contest only once per six-month period unless otherwise specifically stated. An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest.
5. The contest will begin Thursday, May 1, 2008, and will run through Wednesday, June 18, 2008.

6. Winners will receive a prize of $107 dollars Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, Fridays. Winners will receive a prize of $1000 dollars on Thursdays.
7. Listeners can register for the contest by listening for the signal to call and being the 7th caller. The 7th caller must correctly identify the song title of that day’s “Magic Song Of The Day.” The listener who is the 7th correct caller to get through to the station will win $107 dollars on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, Fridays. Correct callers will receive $1000 dollars on Thursdays.
8. The total number of qualifiers invited to the final grand prize event. Registration for the grand prize drawing will occur from 7pm to 7:30pm. No check-in/registration after 7:30pm will be eligible for the grand prize event. Each qualifier will be eligible for a drawing that will allow each person to select a five digit code. Contestants will be called up by name to enter the five digit code of their choice one. If the five digit code does not open up the half million dollar case they qualifiers will then have the opportunity to enter their name in the $10,000 drawing. One winner will be drawn for the $10,000 prize if the half million dollar case does not open.
9. On Wednesday, June 18, 2008, this contest will end unless otherwise stated.
10. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by random drawing or another means deemed appropriate by Cumulus Media Partners. The Cumulus Media Partners representative conducting the contest will determine all winners; their decisions and interpretations of these rules shall be final.
11. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.
12. All prizes are awarded “as is.” Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for other trips, prizes or cash.
13. KMJK – 107.3 shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.
14. KMJK – 107.3 shall not be responsible for the failure phone system and all wireless phones.
15. All entrants and winners agree that KMJK – 107.3, Cumulus Media Partners, their affiliates, and sponsors shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.
16. All qualifying prizes must be claimed in person at KMJK – 107.3 during regular business hours and within ten business days of winning, excluding holidays. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts to Cumulus Media Partners., to be disposed of at their discretion. The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.
17. State issued identification must be presented to claim prize. Winners will be required to fill out a prize fulfillment package.
18. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of Cumulus Media Partners, their affiliates and sponsors to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion Cumulus Media Partners, their affiliates and sponsors.
19. All winners agree that Cumulus Media Partners, their affiliates and sponsors may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason Cumulus Media Partners, their affiliates and sponsors deems necessary without compensation. All winners will be further required to hold Cumulus Media Partners, their affiliates and sponsors, blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
20. KMJK reserves the right to end a contest at any time upon advanced notice to the public
21. KMJK reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
22. KMJK reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.
23. KMJK reserves the right to require contestants or their representative via written proxy to be present at drawings in
order to win their prize.
24. KMJK and Cumulus Media Partners reserve the right to change any of this promotion and/or the promotional elements.
Odds of winning are based on the number of entries received.
25. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.
26. Winners must come in to the Cumulus Radio Kansas City office in mission Kansas and present valid legal state issue ID and fill out a winner verification form. Winner will be notified when checks are returned from our home office. This process takes 4 to 8 weeks and will have ten days from notification to claim prize.
27. A winners list may be obtained after June 30th, 2008 by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the following address:
